The Enterprise Data Architect will:

  • Guide application development and project delivery teams in the data design of complex solutions and ensure that the teams are in alignment with data architecture vision, strategy, principles, standards, priorities, and target states.

  • Strengthen the impact of, and provide recommendations on, business information that will need to be available and shared consistently across the company through the identification, definition and analysis of how information assets drive business outcomes

  • Responsible for data driven solutions which enable business outcomes and include governance directive documents, standard business operating procedures, and process improvement plans around information driven events (e.g. fraud, incident response, advice, next best action, etc)

  • Responsible for understanding, defining, designing, and assisting in the delivery of data and analytics requirements for information of all uses

  • Engage in delivery of solutions (e.g. technologies, processes, and information) to achieve targeted business outcomes

  • Provide end-to-end technical leadership, with Enterprise Architecture standards and guidelines, to the design, development, and testing of business solutions

  • Present potential technical solutions and advising the business on the technical and business value of the proposition with appropriate tradeoffs

  • Able to work with range of team members including stakeholders, project management, developers, business analysts, subject matter experts, and peer architects to understand the ecosystem to produce integrated end-to-end solution options

  • Keeping up-to-date on latest technologies, standards, and tools in areas relevant to the rapidly changing digital environment

  • Other responsibilities as defined

    Qualifications

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience

  • At least 3 years of experience in complex data environments

  • At least 3 years of experience in multiple databases: Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, MongoDB, Cassandra, etc

  • At least 3-6 years of experience in large scale application design, development, and integration

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience and expertise with data visualization, data modeling tools

  • Experience with implementation/delivery of RESTful APIs and microservices

  • Experience building service oriented architectures using event driven architectures and a fluency in event based integration patterns

  • Experience in model driven development and UML

  • Experience in Customer Data Management or Master Data Management (MDM)

  • Experience in software architecture and application integration, preferably in digital

  • Some of the following banking/financial frameworks/taxonomies: IFX, FDSM, Open Payments, etc.

  • Experience with public, Private, and/or hybrid cloud implementations

  • Excellent at communicating and driving highly complex IT solutions to broad audiences/executives, business leaders, product managers, Legal, Security, and implementation specialists

  • B.S. in Computer Science, MIS, or related fields
