Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.
As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. Define specifications for significant new projects and specify, design and develop software according to those specifications. You will perform professional software development tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.
Provide leadership and expertise in the development of new products/services/processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology. Recommends and justifies major changes to existing products/services/processes. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 8 or more years of software engineering or related experience.

As the Threat and Vulnerability Management Technical Lead, you will be focused on designing and driving the implementation of analyzing and mitigating security risk across the OCI stack. You will work closely with software and systems engineers from our cloud service teams, designing solutions to remediate risk and prevent the introduction of new vulnerabilities. You will perform threat analysis and communicate with engineering and leadership teams at all levels about the risks and mitigations.

Be the security architecture advisor and subject matter expert (SME) for Threat and Vulnerability Management, providing deep consulting expertise on complex projects and delivering workable, risk/threat-driven solutions
Perform cloud services risk analysis for services such as Identity and Compute, identifying risk likelihood and impact determination
Assess, prioritize and communicate risks and urgency to leadership and engineering teams
Drive, develop, and champion security tools automating vulnerability assessment and remediation in languages such as C/C , Python, Go or Java
Ability to perform in-depth vulnerability assessments and variant analysis
Provide solution and guidance to software development teams to remediate security findings and reduce risk
Champion best practice security configuration and hardening
Stay current with threats and cyber security counter measures, practices, techniques and capabilities in the marketplace
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
10 years of experience in security engineering
Hands-on experience with threat analysis and vulnerability management
Knowledge of cloud computing architecture, particularly in Identity, Compute, and Networking areas
Ability to understand requirements and write a Spec
Ability to script/code using C/C , Python, Go, Java, or equivalent languages
Thorough understanding of agile software development and the infrastructure lifecycle
Application / product / software security background strongly preferred
Prior DevSecOps or continuous delivery and deployment experience preferred
Proactive demeanor and analytically minded in ambiguity/uncertainty/change
Experience with Software development frameworks like SCRUM
Experience with compliance requirements for industry standard certifications like PCI, DSS, SOC2, HIPPA & FedRamp preferred
