Senior Software Engineer - Notification Services

The Notification team is looking for a Sr. Software Engineer (Sr. SE) to join our team which provides notification services helping make Smartsheet the leader in collaborative work management software. Our team builds and operates services delivering notifications to Smartsheet customers. The services receive notification events, manage processing and fan outs,deliversto multiple platforms and the in-app user interface. Notifications are integrated into Microsoft Teams, Slack, Facebook Workplace, Google Hangouts and Email.

You will report toour Manager of Engineering located in our Bellevue office.

You will:

• Develop Java-based backend components that scale easily to accommodate rapid customer growth

• Develop microservices and software solutions using AWS technologies

• Develop reusable components used across our product (React, Redux, JavaScript,Typescript, HTML, and CSS)

• Write clean and efficient code in Java based on product specifications and operational feasibility

• Develop and maintainCI/CD pipeline implementations

• Participate in the entire development life cycle, from concept to release

• Mentor junior engineers on code quality and best practices

• Workcloselywith other software engineers, and product managers

You have:

• 5+ years software development experience

• Experience building RESTful APIs

• Experience building scalable back-end services

• Knowledge of Microservices in AWS or Google Cloud Platform

• Experience automating CI/CD for ahighlyscalable system

• BS in Computer Science, a related field,or equivalent industry experience
