Carrier Commercial Service has an opening for an experienced Project Engineer for our X location.
The JR. Project Engineer is responsible for the successful overall software design of projects, database creation, as well as the implementation of the Engineering department procedures and standards used in the programming and documentation of controls projects.
Specific responsibilities for this position include:
Complete each assigned project focusing on customer satisfaction and specification compliance while maintaining budgetary guidelines.
Partner with sales functions to set parameters for equipment needs and project timeline.
Create submittals, read, and understand project specifications and MEP drawing sets, controls, and shop drawings.
Document and track project completion with as builds and final program notation with all field changes.
Assemble Operation & Maintenance Manuals for completed projects.
Utilize company and as required customer standard programs for designing graphic function blocks for assigned projects.
Test project programs to ensure specified sequences of operation are met and perform accordingly to industry standards.
Inspect HVAC system including point-to-point, determining the proper operating ranges for field devices, as well as complete functional system checkouts
Conduct graphics engineering functions, which include creating equipment and floor plan graphics per project documents.
Submit material order forms for all project required materials to the purchasing group.
Assist in the development of Functional Check points lists for commissioning and additional documentation requirements Commission the System or work with the Commissioning Agent.
Knowledge of Computers and setup procedures
Knowledge of computer networking systems
Proficient with Microsoft Suite
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Knowledge in DDC control theory and applications pertaining to the HVAC/Control preferred
Prior experience in HVAC and/or Building Automation preferred
AA/AS Engineering degree with 5–10+ years of relevant experience
BA/BS Engineering degree with 2–5+ years of relevant experience
MA/MS Engineering degree with 0–2+ years of relevant experience
