Oracle Product Manager/Strategy 4-ProdDev in Salt Lake City, Utah
Lead a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.
As a member of the product development division, you will analyze and integrate external customer specifications. Suggest and justify product directions and specifications. Specify, design and implement moderate changes to existing software architecture. Build new products and development tools. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to discuss major changes to functionality.
Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.
This is a remote/office based position which may be performed anywhere in the United States except for within the state of Colorado.

In this role, you'll be responsible for conceiving and developing new products and features in the virtual networking space. As a member of the product development division, you will analyze and integrate external customer specifications, suggest and explain product directions and specifications. Other responsibilities include development of new concepts and definition and synthesis of business requirements from internal and external partners, writing product specifications and driving project breakthroughs from design to release.
You will lead and coordinate efforts between cross-functional teams to develop premier capabilities on OCI. You will be expected to assess appropriate trade-offs to optimize customer experience, time-to-market, and to clearly communicate goals, roles, responsibilities.
You will possess a strong Product Management background, an ability to work backwards from the customers and will have experience launching multiple customer-facing products. You are able to thrive in an ambitious environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity. This means you are not only able to develop and drive high-level strategic initiatives, but can also roll up your sleeves and get the job done. Maturity, strong business judgment, a customer-centric mindset, negotiation skills, ability to influence and analytical talent are critical to succeed in this position.
Experience building solutions and whitepapers on any cloud/virtualization platform.
Knowledge of enterprise network architecture challenges and integration with cloud networks.
Experience building highly-available application architecture on cloud platform
Knowledge of OS level networking configuration
Experience training sales/field engineers on service/platform features
5 years of experience as hands-on product manager for customer facing product
Attention to detail and validated ability to lead multiple priorities simultaneously
Ability to think both strategically and tactically in a high-energy, fast paced environment
Experience in Internet business
