Oracle Principal Product Manager, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure in Salt Lake City, Utah
Lead a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.
As a member of the product development division, you will analyze and integrate external customer specifications. Suggest and justify product directions and specifications. Specify, design and implement moderate changes to existing software architecture. Build new products and development tools. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to discuss major changes to functionality.
Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.
This is a remote/office based position which may be performed anywhere in the United States except for within the state of Colorado.

At Oracle you will drive consideration, adoption, and usage of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure through positioning and content.
You will:
Deliver high quality product content for key channels to market (direct, indirect, online)
Collaborate intensively with partners and Oracle product teams to deliver cohesive solutions with clear value
Influence Sales and Engineering as needed to maintain high quality and consistency
Work closely with Sales, Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to continuously improve customer engagement

This requires a customer-focused professional with excellent interpersonal skills, and a track record of success.
Preferred Candidate Attributes:
Can succinctly articulate a compelling vision and clear value propositions for the Oracle cloud platform
Has a strong theoretical and practical understanding of infrastructure as a service technologies and customer needs (particularly at large companies, independent software vendors, services providers, professional services companies, and their end users)
Demonstrates strong writing and creative skills. Demonstrated ability to explain technical material to both technical and business audiences. Experience creating content including, but not limited to the following formats: presentations, websites, landing pages, blogs, videos, architecture diagrams, product demonstrations, technical papers, and technical case studies.
Has the deep technical knowledge of cloud infrastructure services and distributed systems to effectively collaborate with internal and external engineering teams
Possesses strong business acumen in the context of Internet-based services to effectively engage with business leaders, analysts, press, and Oracle leadership
Has a demonstrable ability to analyze and act upon existing and rapidly changing business needs
Can advocate, articulate, and balance the needs of both technical and business stakeholders
Strong understanding of modern software development processes, including build, deployment, version control, monitoring, system reliability, etc. Although programming is not required for this position, software development experience is a plus, and a deep understanding of developer requirements and pain points surrounding this process is essential.
Prior experience with a major cloud platform is a strong plus
You have shown ability to lead without authority
You must be comfortable with shifting priorities and ownership
Preferred Background:
Experience in product management for cloud infrastructure services or enterprise infrastructure software
Experience in a cloud service provider, enterprise ISV, or professional services go-to-market function
Previously played an active role in a successful agile development environment
Previous experience with managing product launch activities and content creation
Bachelors in Engineering required
Masters or MBA required
