Schedule : Monday - Friday (40 hrs/wk)8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Department: Tech Ops, Software - 814 Primary Purpose : The IT Analyst works with managers, supervisors, staff, medical directors and the corporate IT department to evaluate, recommend, and implement automated Information Technology (IT) solutions to meet various operational opportunities/challenges. This position performs database and/or report programming within the limitations of ARUP Policies. The IT Analyst may serve in a primary or adjunct role in software development, implementation, maintenance, and administration. Physical and Other Requirements : Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist. Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction. Mobility: The person in this position needs to occasionally move between work sites and inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Communicate: Frequently and effectively communicates with others. PPE: Biohazard laboratory environment that requires use of personal protective equipment in accordance with CDC and OSHA regulations and company policies. ARUP Policies and Procedures: To conduct self in compliance with all ARUP Policies and Procedures. Medium Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Fine Motor Control: Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand as in handling. Vision: Having close, far, and peripheral visual acuity to perform a variety of tasks such as make general observations of depth and distance. Color Vision: Perception of and ability to distinguish colors. Ability to work all required overtime. May be required to participate in temporary “on-call” rotations during off hours.

Qualifications

Education

Required

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent or better

Preferred

  • Associates Degree or better

Experience

Required

  • One year full-time related computer experience

Preferred

  • One year computer application related experience, training, testing, troubleshooting, and communications

  • One year in a Clinical Laboratory or related experience

  • One year experience with Crystal Reports, Microsoft Reporting, or related report development
