Make a Difference.Title: EDI Analyst Overview of Position Change Healthcare is seeking an EDI Analyst to work either at our Pensacola Florida office or remotely anywhere throughout the US. The position involves the analysis, resolution, and documentation of activities related to inbound and outbound transactions to healthcare systems. The job requires working closely with the IT and Support teams across several application areas to resolve transaction and data issues to meet the customer's needs. What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job? * Problem analysis and documentation of healthcare system EDI transactions and other inbound/outbound data processes.* Analyzes, and assess areas for performance improvements. Recommends and implements changes for better system process performance.* Works closely with Quality Assurance to ensure accurate delivery of project requirements and compliance with standards, EDI code quality and accepted conventions.* Maintains and manages EDI Trading Partner agreements and system configuration.* Reviewing system transaction logs for problem areas* Recommends and assist with development of checks and balance reports for inbound and outbound transactions. What are the requirements needed for this position? * 4+ years of relevant work experience working with EDI in a high volume data processing environment* Bachelor's Degree. Experience in healthcare and/or EDI related field may substitute for required education.* A minimum of 5 years of EDI working with EDI in a high volume data processing environment.* Knowledgeable of ANSI specifications (ANSI 834, 835, 837 276/277, 278, 270/271) and ability to determine ANSI related problems/errors What other skills/experience would be helpful to have? * Experience working with EDI validation tools (eg. Tibco, Edifecs, etc).* Responsible for tracking and resolving EDI system problems, developing and maintaining reporting to identify and correct EDI file issues.* Proficient with using SQL for reporting and identifying data issues.* Experience modifying and running batches used for loading EDI and other proprietary transactions into a database* Must be self-motivated, have the ability to work independently with...
