Oracle Cloud Engineer - North America Customer Experience in Salt Lake City, Utah
Partners with customers, sales, engineering and product teams to design, demonstrate and deploy Oracle Cloud architectures that address customer business problems. Drives Oracle Cloud customer consumption by accelerating the adoption of Oracle cloud services including discovery, design and deployment.
Responsible for participating in customer engagements to collaboratively design and implement solutions. May work directly with customers to gather requirements, develop architectures and translates business needs into solutions. Implements solutions and ensures successful deployments through code development and scripting. Displays product/application understanding through more customized presentation demonstrations to customers and at conferences and events. Supports customer from Proof of Concept (POC) through production deployment of services via resource configuration, planning, and customer education/training. Creates and distributes technical assets (white papers, solution code, blog posts, and video demonstrations). Serves as a technical point of contact for customers and sales on technical cloud solutions and customer success. Further builds business and technical acumen.
Minimum qualifications include: 5 years experience with computer applications and tools required. Ability to travel 25% international and domestic. Preferred but not required qualifications include: Bachelor of Science-level university degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering from accredited university; and/or relevant 5 years technical experience. Expertise in system and application design; Written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills; Needs analysis, positioning, and business justification; Solving technical problems with customers in technical environments.

The Customer Experience team is rapidly growing and seeking a Senior Solution Architect to lead complex projects with our most strategic customers. You will be responsible for directly interacting with engineering leadership across Oracle's largest customers. You will have a direct input into critical technical decisions ranging from architecture to technology choices.
This is a senior position with high visibility within the company. The position requires someone who excels in a high-growth environment and is comfortable making critical decisions and providing recommendations that directly impact customer success. The successful candidate will have a strong background combining technology, business acumen and presales experience.
Job Responsibilities:
Discovery and requirement gathering
Perform cloud and technology architecture reviews and design
Hands-on implementation of POC and reusable frameworks
Be an industry expert, able to position Oracle offering vs. competition
Help troubleshoot performance problems and coordinate with our operations staff
Mentor junior developers, with career growth opportunities towards a management track
Technical Advisory for C-suite and Executives
Work with Product Management to be the voice of the customer
The successful candidate will have experience in:
Modern Engineering practices such as DevOps, CICD, Infrastructure as Code
Technical Leadership capabilities, ideally with a Scrum Master experience
Cloud technologies, such as AWS, Oracle (OCI), GCP, or Azure
Hands-on implementation experience of cloud, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS
Versatile in languages such as Python and Java
