Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Principal Software Engineer for the C&L SE&I MBSD Architecture & Interfaces team. This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. Learn more about the GBSD program here. This position may be filled at a higher level based on the qualifications below.
What you will get to do:
The Interface Engineer will work will focus on Software Interfaces and use functional analysis and Model-based Systems Engineering (MBSE) processes to develop interface control documentation.
Collaborate with both internal and external teams (developers, system integrators, system testers, and system requirements engineers) to support delivery of quality design products.
Maintain technical cognizance of subsystem interdependencies in support of maturing ICD's for identifying and resolving gaps.
Incorporate cross-IPT feedback to support the development and approval of the products.

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
This position may be filled at a Principal or Sr. Principal level.
You'll bring these qualifications:
A minimum 5 years of systems or software engineering experience with a technical Bachelor's degree; 3 years with a Master's; 0 years with a PhD; or 9 years of related experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree. (Sr. Principal level requires 9 years with a BS, 7 with a Master's; 4 years with a PhD; or 13 years lieu of a degree)
Experience in Aerospace and/or System Engineering
Active DoD Secret security clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years
Candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain specific program access
These qualifications would be nice to have:
Previous Systems Engineering experience and understanding of the systems engineering V
Experience using tools to model large systems with multiple developers
Experience in the military aerospace development environment is preferred
Experience with weapon systems
Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
Experience with Agile Development
