Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a GBSD Principal/Senior Principal Guidance Computer PWB/PCB Designer to work on our GBSD program in Roy, Utah.
The individual in this role will design analog and digital PWB/PCB used in the Guidance Computer (GC) flight unit. The Guidance Computer is a high reliability, radiation hardened flight controller for the GBSD Aerospace Vehicle (AVE). The GBSD Guidance Computer contains digital processing, digital I/O, and analog actuator/power I/O electronics functions.
The designer will work in a program team environment with other Designers, Electrical Engineers and Mechanical Engineers designing analog and digital printed circuit boards through release of fabrication drawing package. This position reports directly to the Guidance Computer Flight Unit Product Engineering Lead.
Position requires 25% travel to El Segundo, CA until Q3 2021. Otherwise, 10% travel.
This position can be filled at a higher grade based on the below qualifications.

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Principal PWB/PCB Design Engineer: Bachelors degree and 5 years or Masters and 3 years or 0 and PhD. 4 additional years in lieu of degree
Senior Principal PWB/PCB Design Engineer: Bachelors degree and 9 years or Masters and 7 years or 4 and PhD. 4 additional years in lieu of degree
Experience using Mentor Xpedition, MentorGraphics BoardStation, Cadence/Allegro PCB, Mentor pads, Altium Designer, or other PCB layout tool
Active Current Secret Clearance
Experience using Mentor Xpedition version 1.2
IPC certification CID (Certified Interconnect Designer-Basic) or CID+ (Advanced)
Lead roles- Agile experience or certification
Non-Lead roles-Agile Experience or certification
