Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a GBSD Principal Software Engineer. This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. Learn more about the GBSD program here.
What you'll get to do:
Clear obstacles from the team, and protect the team from interruptions and distractions.
Address team dynamics, and ensure a good relationship between product owner and team.
Coaching the scrum team to adhere to the Agile principles and good DevSecOps practices.
Responsible for facilitating daily scrum, sprint planning, sprint demo and retrospective meetings.
Ensure responsiveness of applications.
Meet both technical and consumer needs.
Stay abreast of developments in web applications and programming languages.
Collaborate with Systems and Quality Engineers to ensure software requirements are met
Perform software peer reviews, version control, automated tests, software analysis, continuous integration, and continuous deliver in accordance with DevSecOps processes and best practices
Perform code quality management and corrects defects
Design and develop APIs.
Coordinate with HW/SW team to perform retests and regression tests once defects are corrected

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
You'll bring these qualifications:
5 years of experience with BS; 3 years with Masters; 0 years with PhD
US Citizenship and an active DOD Secret clearance awarded within past 5 years; Program Access required to start
Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems
Experience in Scrum Team roles, either as a Scrum Master or Product Owner
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
DoD Top Secret clearance awarded within past 5 years
Strong experience with build automation tools such as Jenkins, GoCD, Travis CI or Circle CI
Strong experience with deployment automation tools such as chef, puppet or ansible
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Familiarity with DevSecOps, continuous integration, and continuous delivery
Familiarity with distributed version control software (Git, Mercurial)
Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Extreme Programming), Scaled Agile Framework - SAFe for Lean Enterprises
