Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.
As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. Suggest and justify product directions within approved directions. Define responsibilities for new projects and specifies, designs and develops software according to those specifications. Provide consultative software guidance and strategic direction associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.
Acknowledged expert/professional within company and/or industry nationally and internationally. Provides leadership in the development and strategic direction of new products, processes, techniques. Acts as primary consultant on large projects that effect the organization*s long term objectives / strategy. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 10 more years of software engineering or related experience.

Software Architects in OCI are responsible for driving OCI s overall engineering architecture with lasting impact on product and technology that serves our customers. They work on the most challenging technical problems while staying connected to overall product & business goals. They understand the business needs, engineering context, exercise strong judgment cutting across the business & engineering landscapes and set the architectural bar for OCI.
This is a broad engineering leadership role that includes owning & driving cross-OCI and cross-Oracle engineering projects & initiatives, setting architecture bar & best practices, providing broad technical leadership to critical software projects and mentoring engineering leaders across OCI. Successful candidates will be able to influence engineering leadership, management and executive leadership across OCI & Oracle. They will be adept at dealing with ambiguity, earn credibility as an engineering thought leader across OCI, will bring clarity to complex engineering problems and advocate for pragmatic solutions while raising the overall architectural bar.
Experience in architecture, engineering, deployment and operations of high scale software services, preferably in a public cloud environment. Experience working successfully across teams in a large engineering organization and leading large scale cross-organizational engineering initiatives,
10 years of experience leading software engineering projects including hands-on software design, development, and operations.
10 years of proven experience in cloud-related platforms including high scale software systems. Demonstrated knowledge of either AWS and/or Azure environments.
Strong leadership skills through influence. Strongwritten & verbal communication skills and problem-solving skills.
Education: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related degree. Masters degree in computer science or related field highly desirable.
