Oracle Principal Oracle Database Administrator in Ogden, Utah

Work with Oracle's world class technology to develop, implement, and support Oracle's global infrastructure. As a member of the IT organization, assist with the analyze of existing complex programs and formulate logic for new complex internal systems. Prepare flowcharting, perform coding, and test/debug programs. Develop conversion and system implementation plans. Recommend changes to development, maintenance, and system standards. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. BS or equivalent experience in programming on enterprise or department servers or systems. This is a remote/office based position which may be performed anywhere in the United States except for within the state of Colorado. Oracle’s Product Engineering and Operations team is chartered to build and manage fusion applications Software-as-a-Service(SaaS) product offerings for Oracle customers. We are seeking a highly seasoned Oracle Database Administrator to be a key, go to person for our customer needs. Must have a strong Oracle DBA, GoldGate, and Data Guard background. Location: Open to US locations. Must have home office and successfully demonstrated the ability work remotely Must be able to work afterhours-nights/weekends, on-call; as needed Job Responsibilities: 1. Work directly with product development teams to design and build scalable, highly available, and high performing SaaS and PaaS infrastructures. 2. Write scripts to monitor and automate various processes. 3. Define and document system architectures, systems configurations, and technical operational processes and policies. 4. Install and configure fusion application environments and other assisted services as part of Oracle Public Cloud Service delivery 5. Troubleshoot and document issues with applications, technologies, and infrastructure. 6. As part of Cloud Operations, Support 24/7 Customer issues raised on Oracle Cloud infrastructure. 7. Ensure Cloud Fusion service reliability and availability. Qualifications: * Outstanding Oracle DBA skills; preferably with 19C * Strong GoldGate and Data Guard experience * Experience operating on Exadata is essential * Database Skills in RMAN,RAC,ASM, Data guard is essential * Web Logic Server, and Oracle eBusiness Suite of Applications added plus * Experience with enterprise monitoring and management tools such as Oracle Enterprise Manager. * Medium to Expert level of automation skills using one or more computer languages such as Python, Perl, Shell, Java. * Experience with virtualization technologies will be advantageous * Experience with tools such as Puppet, Ansible and mcollect will be advantageous. * Ability to think creatively and work independently * A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related fields /As part of Oracle’s employment process candidates will be required to complete a pre-employment screening process, after a conditional offer has been extended./ Oracle is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
