The Role:
Vivint is currently looking for a mid to senior level QA Engineer to join our Vivint Technology team. Supporting Vivint's internal software systems including customer data management, billing and finance, reporting, sales tools, and other systems that keep our company moving forward.
We need highly motivated and skilled QA engineers who love solving complex problems and will take satisfaction in seeing their work simplify the lives of our employees and customers.
Job Responsibilities:
Develop and execute test plans for end-to-end testing for revenue generation systems, including many integrated systems
Review design documents to ensure expectations are clear and testable
Work closely with the Project Management team to ensure items delivered by development meet business needs
Create, execute, and maintain detailed test plans and test cases
Record and update test results, and regularly communicate testing progress. Help coordinate release readiness activities and change approval steps
Validate, document, and assess impact and root cause of reported bugs
(Bonus) Help develop and implement automated testing tools and processes
What we are looking for:
Experience manual testing iOS apps, REST web services, web applications (built in a C# .Net stack, Swift, and vue.js web pages)
Deep understanding of software testing methodologies and techniques
Excellent troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
Excellent time management and prioritization skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High attention to detail
Passion for improving the process
Ability to approach a problem from more angles than the developers said matter
Basic understanding of programming, code, and logic is a plus
Test automation experience is a plus

WORKING CONDITIONS:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
