Oracle Principal Applications Engineer. in Lehi, Utah

Analyze, design develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for commercial or end user applications. Writes code, completes programming and performs testing and debugging of applications. As a member of the software engineering division, you will analyze and integrate external customer specifications. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture. Build new products and development tools. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to discuss major changes to functionality. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience. This is a remote/office based position which may be performed anywhere in the United States except for within the state of Colorado. You will have the opportunity to work independently to drive best practices with product managers and senior technology leaders; solving complex technical problems – a critical role in driving the continued success of Oracle CX. _Job Description_ In this position you will be working in the Engineering team along with product managers to develop the latest and greatest features and help drive further adoption of Customer Experience (CX) products. The position requires building infrastructure and tools to collect/analyze data for specific use cases and create insights and action plan off that. You will be part of a tight knit Agile development team that works hard and celebrates success. Our ideal candidate for this position has the ability to apply leading design patterns, develop solutions employing industry best practices and processes with ability to perform varied and complex duties and tasks that need independent judgment. The position is based remote in the USA, and we have teams nearby our currently closed offices in Bozeman MT and Broomfield CO. To be successful in this role, you will ideally have: * A BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related technical field * 6 years of relevant work experience, including programming experience and strong Java Development experience * Experience working with MySQL or Oracle database * Experience with OO design principles, patterns and practices, micro-service architecture * Experience in application development using JavaScript Framework such as React, Knockout, Node/Angular JS, CSS & HTML5 etc. * Experience working as part of a team doing state-of-the-art object-oriented software development, including continuous integration, test-driven-development, and automated unit and integration testing * Experience using distributed queues such as Kafka or RabbitMQ * Experience with cloud computing infrastructure such as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, OpenStack, or AWS * Knowledge of microservices architecture and container orchestration frameworks such as Docker, Nomad, Kubernetes, or Mesos * Experience with versioning tools such as git * Experience with using CI servers such as Jenkins. * A broader set of technology skills at your disposal, such as: XML, XSLT, Database/schema design, SQL syntax, Unix/Linux development, etc Job: Product Development* *Organization: Oracle *Title: *Principal Applications Engineer.
