Northrop Grumman is seeking an entry-level Associate Systems Engineer . This position will be located at our Technology Services Sector in Layton, Utah.

The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman's Nuclear Safety Cross Check Analysis program.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Reviewing developer software with a focus on finding flaws in the system and suggesting possible improvements

  • Performing code examination, analysis, and testing

  • May work with system simulators and statistical analysis

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of science degree from an accredited institution

  • Major in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Math, Physics, or a related degree

  • Minimum overall cumulative GPA of 3.25/4.0 or higher (unofficial transcripts must be provided at time of application by uploading the documents to your application or profile)

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)

  • Demonstrated ability to identify logic errors, code inconsistencies and inefficiencies, safety hazards associated with software and/or hardware design languages, code design, and requirement specifications

  • Demonstrated technical writing experience and/or coursework

  • Experience and/or coursework in any object-oriented programming languages

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Cumulative GPA of 3.7 or higher

  • Previous internship experience

  • Experience in Ada, FORTRAN, C, C++, C#

  • Experience and/or coursework in Computer Hardware
