What you will be doing

Perform tasks including debug, bring-up, Beta, and production software development. Test and debug firmware/software on hardware platform. Evangelize new testing methodologies, best practices, and tools with goals to continuously improve test coverage through both manual and automated processes. Participate in cross-functional teams to support engineering test projects.

You must have

  • B.S. in Computer Science or related field

  • 3+ years experience in automated testing, using, developing, and extending SW test frameworks

  • Knowledge of test methods, appropriate levels of test, and test techniques

  • Ability to contribute individually, architecturally, and in group/pair programming

  • Previous script design, coding, debugging and maintenance skills

You should have

  • Ability to analyze technical specifications, and come up with solutions to complex technical problems, in a fast-paced environment where there are competing priorities

  • Experience participating in design reviews, API development, and documentation production

  • Experience developing application software that interfaces with FPGAs, sensors, and other embedded hardware

  • Ability to read and analyze schematics to identify test points and test cases

It's helpful to have

  • Familiarity with standard embedded communication protocols (SPI, UART, I2C, etc) as well as physical interfaces such as Ethernet, USB, Bluetooth, WIFI

  • Experience applying Computer Science fundamentals such as data structures, algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis

  • Previous experience working in a small company/startup environment and building test infrastructure from the ground up
