Lockheed Martin Systems Engineer Staff in Hill Air Force Base, Utah

Description: Seeking a strong candidate who will join the F-35 Logistics team as an Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS) Systems Engineering (SE) Team. Primary focus will be on supporting program execution from design through user test of F35 Logistics software, maturing the solution and executing under the guidance of the SE Leadership with a focus on the improving the end user experience and performance.

The Systems Engineer will support design,

development and test of complex systems for logistics on the F-35. The engineer would be a critical development/integration resource, being capable of solving the most challenging design issues for the maintainer and logistics administrator roles.

Tasks include: significant interface with end user/administrators/customer in the development and analysis of system designs and requirements, system

architecture, preliminary and detailed system design, development of specifications and test procedures, perform subsystem and system integration and test, and conduct formal testing.

This position will provide an opportunity to bring innovative and new ideas that influence the broader Engineering tenets for the logistics program while aligning activities for efficient and successful systems engineering methodology using AGILE and Model Based engineering techniques. The successful candidate must be comfortable working in a fast paced, dynamic environment, and be capable of working at all levels of the organization, internal and external, to manage technical, cost and schedule project objectives related to this area.

Basic Qualifications:

The candidate should be familiar with aircraft logistics programs from maintenance to supply chain coordination and support, specifically experience on F-35 logistics platforms.

The desired candidate must have the ability to support the delivery of system product in a large development and sustainment concurrent engineering environment; familiarization with Agile practices and driving corrective action plans to deliver baseline requirements under challenging schedules highly desired.

Strong leadership experience with demonstrated accomplishments and a career track record in the area of front-end systems engineering, sustainment activities, support to system integration/test, and project leadership skills is required;

This rewarding and challenging position must demonstrate strong leadership skills and promote a collaborative environment where requirements engineering is a key driver and contributor from concept inception through final acceptance testing.

Significant collaborative leverage of the ALIS team and systems team members across multiple aspects of the program is a major expectation of the selected candidate.

Desired Skills:

- Fixed wing maintenance and logistics platforms familiarity.

- Prior military service as an Aircraft maintainer on F-35, F-22, and F16 strongly desired

- Experienced in System Engineering process with a focus on development of products and continuous integration of designs through product deployment for the F-35 market segment.

- Experience working with computer systems and software

- Systems Modeling and Design (SysML) and experience working with an enterprise-level toolset (e.g. Enterprise Architect)

- Experience with the Atlassian tool suite

- Strong written and communication skills

- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively with teammates and leadership - Experience across the Systems Engineering Life Cycle using agile methodologies

- Experience collaborating with external partners to integrate software

- DevOps experience
