QuantiTech, Inc. Test Engineer (ICBM CTF Human System Integration) in Hill AFB, Utah

Overview

QuantiTech is currently seeking an ICBM CTF Human System Integration Test Engineer to support our customer in Hill AFB, Utah.

Responsibilities

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide technical support to the ICBM Combined Test Force (CTF) Lead Developmental Test & Evaluation Organization (LDTO) in development test and evaluation (DT&E) activities for AF Nuclear Weapons Center missile systems.

  • Support Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) and Minuteman III (MMIII) development test efforts to assess performance against stated program requirements.

  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary government and contractor team to plan, test, analyze, and report through multiple program acquisition phases.

  • Collaborate with the government and contractor Integrated Test Team (ITT) to assess the systematic integration of human interactions and interfaces with hardware and software across the missile system.

  • Lead development test planning and oversight of prime contractor systems supporting human systems integration (HSI).

  • Support periodic reviews of test support and systems integration test results and test plan status. Participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and ITTs as appropriate to advocate for HSI capabilities.

  • Coordinate intent and direction regularly with Combined Test Force counterparts in AFOTEC, the program office and the Prime contractor team

  • Lead and mentor junior team members as assigned.

  • Maintain cognizance of all assigned CTF/Test Team engineering activities.

  • Assess test support and systems integration progress and trends of testing, identify problems and areas of concern for assigned systems.

  • Provide technical support and advocate integrated approaches of engineering efforts and support of test activities for which existing guidelines may not be available or applicable.

  • Serve as a test team participant in the development of overall plans such as the Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP), System Test Plan (STP), Developmental Test (DT) Report, recommendation for IOT&E readiness, and other technical documents.

Qualifications

  • Must have an active and transferrable DoD security clearance with current investigation at the required level. Must be able to maintain the required clearance.

  • Master’s degree in related field and over 10 years of experience required, some of which includes test and evaluation. Sufficient additional experience can be substituted for education beyond the Bachelor’s level.

  • Experience in the design, development, testing and documentation of HSI is highly desired

  • Extensive proficiency in working with and leading multi-disciplinary teams is highly desired.

  • Work is timely, efficient and of acceptable quality. Completed work meets project/program objectives.

  • Personal and organizational interactions exhibit and foster cooperation and teamwork, enhance customer relations, and actively promote rapport with customers

  • Verbal and written communications are clear, concise, and at appropriate level.

  • Utilize resources effectively to accomplish mission, including ability to work effectively alone, unsupervised, or within a group.

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while being able to prioritize work to balance multiple projects and deadlines.

  • Focused adherence to safety and security requirements.

  • Familiarity with test & evaluation planning and processes consistent with DoD acquisition directives and policies is highly desired.

  • Familiarity with ICBM weapon systems and related subsystems/equipment, their projected use in the military, and methods of testing is highly desired.

  • Familiarity with ground and flight test conduct, data analysis/evaluation, modeling and simulation, technical report preparation, and administrative aspects of ground and flight test programs is highly desired

  • Must be willing to travel up to 10%.
