Responsibilities

This position is for the AFNWC ICBM Directorate ISC 2.0 project.

• Develops and executes test plans, test cases, and test procedures to ensure all information systems products and services meet organization standards and end-user requirements • Develops test plans, test schedules, and approach• Writes test cases & scripts and identifies data for test scenarios • Conducts walk-throughs on test case/script with Test Managers, Requirement Leads, Project Managers, and Development Leads• Performs and leads tests of software and/or IT systems to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects • Performs verification activities on work products using defined methods, procedures, and criteria with an appropriate verification environment• Documents and communicates test results • Supports analysis of test results and resolution of open issues • Documents and works to resolve complex problems and reports progress to mgmt • Devises improvements to current procedures and develops models of possible future configurations• Creates daily test metrics/reporting• Performs other IT systems engineering activities such as requirements, design, installation, operation, sustainment, and support• Establishes goals to meet outlined objectives

Qualifications

Minimum SECRET security clearance.

There are two levels for this position: Senior, Journeyman, with educational and experience requirements as follows: Senior: BS Degree in Computer Science, Technology, Engineering or related field + 10 yrs of engineering experience OR MS Degree + 7 yrs engineering experience OR PhD Degree + 4 yrs experienceJourneyman: BS Degree in Computer Science, Technology, Engineering or related field + 4 yrs of engineering experience OR MS Degree + 2 yrs engineering experience OR PhD Degree + 1 yr experience

• Complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories, and concepts in the field• Ability to write test scripts in various languages• Experience defining and coordinating testing requirements• Good software testing skills (system and integration testing)• Experience with JIRA or similar bug tracking systems• Basic understanding of software development best practices• Strong problem solving and analytical skills• Excellent verbal and written communication skills• Ability to work independently and within a team structure• Skill set includes ability to perform all stated/implied duties within the level/ tier and those reasonably derived from preceding tier

DESIRED:

  • ICBM experience desired

  • TS clearance desired

  • Contractor shall obtain and maintain certificaitons as required by current versions of AFMAN 17-1303, DoDi 8570.01-M and other applicable lasw and regulations.

Additional Requirements
