QuantiTech, Inc. Software Engineer (ICBM CTF Test & Evaluation Mid) in Hill AFB, Utah


QuantiTech is currently seeking a mid-level Software Test & Evaluation Engineer for the ICBM CTF to support our customer in Hill AFB, Utah.


Duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide technical support to the ICBM Combined Test Force (CTF) Lead Developmental Test & Evaluation Organization (LDTO) in development test and evaluation (T&E) activities for AF Nuclear Weapons Center missile systems.

  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary government and contractor team to plan, test, analyze, and report through multiple program acquisition phases.

  • Lead developmental test & evaluation oversight of assigned Weapon System software packages to assess performance against stated program requirements.

  • Review/incorporate cybersecurity requirements into T&E activities.

  • Coordinate with the program office and contractor to develop, review, and implement test plans for all levels of software builds for assigned areas.

  • Lead independent assessment of contractor test results

  • Support use of Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE) applications and agile techniques in T&E of the weapon system.

  • Maintain cognizance of all assigned CTF/Test Team engineering activities.

  • Assess test support and systems integration progress and trends of testing, identify problems and areas of concern for assigned systems.

  • Support periodic reviews of test support and systems integration test results and test plan status. Participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and Integrated Test Teams (ITTs) as appropriate.

  • Provide technical support and advocate integrated approaches of engineering efforts and support of test activities for which existing guidelines may not be available or applicable.

  • Serve as a test team participant in the development of overall plans such as the Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP), System Test Plan (STP), Developmental Test (DT) Report, recommendation for IOT&E readiness, and other technical documents.


Minimum Requirements and Desired Qualifications:

  • Must have or be able to obtain a DoD security clearance at the required level. An active and transferrable DoD security clearance with current investigation is highly desirable. Must be able to maintain required clearance.

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field and over 3 years of experience is required, some of which must include test and evaluation.

  • Demonstrated expertise in software test methodologies and test planning is required.

  • Proficiency in working with and leading multi-disciplinary teams is highly desired.

  • Work is timely, efficient and of acceptable quality. Completed work meets project/program objectives.

  • Personal and organizational interactions exhibit and foster cooperation and teamwork, enhance customer relations, and actively promote rapport with customers

  • Verbal and written communications are clear, concise, and at appropriate level.

  • Utilize resources effectively to accomplish mission, including ability to work effectively alone, unsupervised, or within a group.

  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment while being able to prioritize work to balance multiple projects and deadlines.

  • Focused adherence to safety and security requirements.

  • Familiarity with test & evaluation planning and processes consistent with DoD acquisition directives and policies is highly desired.

  • Familiarity with ICBM weapon systems and related subsystems/equipment, their projected use in the military, and methods of testing is highly desired.

  • Familiarity with ground and flight test conduct, data analysis/evaluation, modeling and simulation, technical report preparation, and administrative aspects of ground and flight test programs is desired

  • Must be willing to travel up to 10%.
