MITRE’s Resilient Weapon Systems Department is seeking a Systems Engineer to provide strategic and technical leadership in support of the nuclear enterprise. The successful candidate will apply digital engineering, architecture development, requirements and technology trade analysis, and acquisition strategies to address the nation’s most challenging problems. This role includes contributing and/or leading a dynamic, multi-disciplined team developing technical solutions through innovation.
Analyzing complex systems-of-systems to provide actionable recommendations to the U.S. Air Force
Applying Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) to build models, conduct analysis, and provide recommendations in support of planning and decision-making
Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) related field
5+ years of relevant experience
Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to acquire and maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance
Knowledge of system engineering methods for system and system-of-system architecture design
Experience with one or more of the following: MATLAB, Mathematica, Java, C++, Python
Ability to work independently to learn new technologies, techniques, processes, software languages, platforms, and systems
Familiarity with MBSE languages (e.g. SysML) and tools (e.g. Cameo, MagicDraw, Rhapsody)
Experience in key technology areas: cyber defense, networking, cloud architecture, and software development
Understanding of development environments that build, test, and deploy software using Agile processes and DevOps and/or DevSecOps
Experience working on airborne systems from a technical and operational perspective
A current/active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance
